Rainbow Trust Children's Charity supports families who have a child with a serious or life-threatening illness. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support.

Story

Back in September, at a meeting of minds we decided to undertake a cycle challenge.

On the 3rd May we will be setting out to undertake Land’s End to John O’Groats in six days. Now many of you would think this is a huge undertaking, however we have decided to push ourselves a little further by undertaking the Coast to Coast Whitehaven to Sunderland one week later, oh and we plan to do the 131 miles in one day.

All in all that is 1049 miles.

Mad you might say, absolutely we would reply.

But there are two very good reasons for taking up this challenge.

Leg one – LEJOG is in aid of Great North Air Ambulance, a local charity we all hold dear. To sponsor us for leg one please visit http://www.justgiving.com/1049milechallenge

Led two – C2C is in aid of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, which has been the chosen charity for BSS for three years. Rainbow supports 1000 families in England who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

We all hope we will never need the service provided by either charity but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t support the work they do. Every penny you donate will go directly to helping these charity keep up the good work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks

Jonathan, Stuart, Graham & Phil
