Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We the Whitelee Warriors have decided to take part in our first ever 65 mile Sportive and raise money for the "http://www.friendsofthebeatson.org" at the same time.

The Scottish Bike Show Sportive 2012 is a challenging 65 mile cycle through the most stunning countryside of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

At present we have enlisted 8 riders to take part, Stuart Russell, Alistair Russell, Ricky Stewart, David Mullin, Douglas Gilligan, Chris Hunter, Andy Bennet and Alan McKee. Many of the team have never cycled 65 miles in one day, so it’s also a personal challenge.

We decided to raise money for a local charity and “Friends of the Beatson” was chosen. Friends of the Beatson makes the lives of cancer patients better. They do this by providing practical comfort and support for patients at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. They work with the patients themselves and with the Beatson staff, medical, nursing and administrative - to ensure that they deliver the support in the best possible way for patients.

We are all touched by Cancer in one way or another at some point in our lives, so please dig deep and help us raise money for such a worthy charity.

Why not check out our blog.
