After successfully completing the Scottish Bike Show Sportive (65 Miles) in 2012 and raising £2,661.00 for Friends of the Beatson in the process, we have decided to do it all again in 2013!

To make things a little more interesting we have also registered for the Etape Caledonia 81 miles the week after so that's 146 miles over two Consecutive Sundays!

Again we have entered the Scottish Bike Show Sportive, 65 mile route, and again we have chosen to raise money for the wonderful Cancer Charity, Friends of the Beatson.

We have adopted Friends of the Beatson as our Official Charity and have their logo emblazoned across our cycling kit.

Friends of the Beatson makes the lives of cancer patients better. They do this by providing practical comfort and support for patients at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. They work with the patients themselves and with the Beatson staff, medical, nursing and administrative - to ensure that they deliver the support in the best possible way for patients.

We are all touched by Cancer in one way or another at some point in our lives, so please dig deep and help us raise money for such a worthy charity.

We have set the target this year at £2,661.00 as this was what we raised in 2012 and hope to beat this total.

John Stewart will be doing his first ever open water triathlon on Sunday 23rd June and will be raising money for Friends of the Beatson. 

Next event on the calendar for  the Whitelee Warriors is the Pedal for Scotland Glasgow to Edinburgh 110 mile route! We have several of the Warriors taking part in this event and hope to boost our Sponsorship total.
