Hi to all ,

First thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I along with three other ladies have just taken part in a sponsored abseil of the Transporter Bridge In middlesborough ( UK ) on the 12th of October 2008. This is to raise money for the Clic Sargent ( caring for children with cancer ). We were all over 40 ( not actually true one lady who stepped in at last minute was younger but we made her an honoury over 40 , how kind are we !! , she didnt look it ).

I became involved after hearing of a child of friend the family and friends wanted to continue to raise money through a fund that had been set up ( Georgias fund ) .

I  became involved in this particular event after one of the group of ladies had to drop out due to a knee injury  ,didnt realise at first what I was going to be doing.

Abseiling , I have a severe back problem so my challenge was climbing the steps ( painkillers and a good oesteopath ), But I am glad I did it. I will never do it again , but it was fantastic , the views were great and the crowd which included friends and family very supportive.

So far I have received the above amount through friends and other unknown amounts have gone directly to Clic SArgent , i am still collecting and have  a couple of hundred still left to pull in.

Am keeping the website going until I get the 1000. ( pounds or euros ).

So for now , please give genrously , as my son said " Mum it could take millions to help " my words " the first penny counts " .... Make that poundsor even euros.
