Story

On May 8th 2011 a group of girls will walk the 96 mile West Highland Way from Milngavie to Fort William.  Walking an average of 16 miles per day we intend to take 6 days to achieve our objective.  We are raising funds for 2 charities, Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team and SARDA Southern Scotland, please see our other page on http://www.justgiving.com/whw2011 and consider splitting your donation between the 2 charities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

Provide search dogs for the police and MOUNTAIN RESCUE TEAMS throughout Scotland. Dog handlers are all volunteers and use trained dogs to search for vulnerable and missing people, including children and the elderly. Money donated is used to pay for equipment, insurance and training.
