I've learnt something - don't drink loads of beer in Paris.  If you do, someone will talk you into running a half-marathon.  After you are talked into it, you'll try to conceive ways in which you can get out of it.  When you come to realise that there's no backing out, you start to think that you might as well do some good for all the pain - hence the sponsorship.
