HCPT Midlands Skydive · 24 September 2017

Since 1956, experienced HCPT volunteers have taken 1,000s of disabled and disadvantaged children and adults on life changing pilgrimage holidays to the shrine of Lourdes in France. We are of all faiths and none. Thank you for your support.

Story

HCPT volunteers in the Midlands, along with some HCPT staff and I, are coming together on Sunday 24th September to raise money through a sponsored skydive.

We'll all be jumping out of a plane somewhere in deepest Cambridgeshire, each of us strapped to an expert (a "tandem" skydive).

Money I raise will be spent on giving local disabled and disadvantaged children the holiday of a lifetime. Children travelling with HCPT Group 215 in Leicester will benefit. I'm paying the skydive registration fee myself so 100% of your donation would go to benefit the children in the group.

I'm very risk averse and I don't do many daft or dangerous things for charity (the last one being a firewalk nearly 10 years ago). Only last summer, on holiday, I refused to jump off a tiny pier into the water with the rest of my family. I also don't do rollercoasters.

So it's going to be a battle for me to jump out of that plane :( - I hope you can sponsor me!
