Byte Night London · 2 October 2009 ·

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

A crack team of dedicated Wildthings will again be taking to the streets on October 2nd to spend a chilly night wishing we were tucked up in bed watching Friends re-runs. We’ll be donning our thermal undergarments, stocking up on flask-loads of soup (by which we mean whisky) and spending the night in Potters Field as part of Byte Night 2009 without so much as a tent for shelter to raise money for Action for Children, the children’s charity.

The experience of spending an entire night outdoors in the company of others and with plenty of spare socks, hats, scarves, gloves, food, drink and working toilets will no doubt drive home the fact that others have it much worse. We’ll be aiming to raise awareness of youth homelessness, as well as funds to support young people who are homeless or facing life after care.

So please, sponsor us now.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action for Children, the children's charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
