In partnership with the Association of Rivers Trusts "Trout in the Classroom" (TIC) is a project in which primary and secondary school children ... - Raise trout from eggs to fry - Monitor tank water quality - Engage in stream habitat study - Learn to appreciate water resources - Develop a conservation ethic - Grow to understand ecosystems The project ends with a release of trout into an approved stream near the school or within a nearby catchment. It's a fantastic way to put schoolchildren in touch with their local rivers. Pioneered on the River Wandle, TIC will take this great idea all across the country.
