On the 17th October I will be starting out on a two week treck to base camp of the worlds highest mountain, Mount Everest. I will be part of a team from Wates Construction, for whom I currently work.

Starting at Lukia, Nepal we will be following a trail up the mountain and camping along the way. The trail will lead to base camp of Mount Everest and we will then be continuing on to reach a high point of 5,647m (18,615ft) at Kalapathar where we should have amazing views looking onto Everest before starting our descent.

I have personally paid for the trip so all money raised will go directly to Barnardo's. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
