The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

4 years ago my aunt, a mother of two young daughters, was diagnosed with a severe form of breast cancer. For 4 years she battled her illness with remarkable courage and inner strength, fighting not for herself but for her family that were her whole world. Sadly on the 3rd March 2010 her body said no more and she passed away. Hearing about the way she dealt with her terminal condition has been truly inspirational for me and for those that knew her, including the nurses and doctors that cared for her. And so I thought what better way for me to honour my aunt than to take part in one of the greatest sporting challenges, a marathon. On the 11th April this year I aim to complete the Paris marathon in memory of my aunt and to help raise money for MacMillan cancer support, to thank them for the help they provided and for the help they are providing for thousands of cancer sufferers across the UK. I would therefore like to ask for your help in raising money towards this donation. Thank you
