William Blunt is a perfectly ordinary 15 year old living with his Mother, Father and two younger brothers in the Wiltshire countryside near Marlborough . By coincidence he was at a friend’s house and saw a leaflet relating to sending a cow to Africa , to help families who lacked all the amenities he took for granted.
Instead of simply reading it and shrugging his shoulders, William resolved to help. A keen cyclist and a County Grade athlete at 1500metres, William is making on the 13th July a 100 mile cycle ride, and seeking sponsors, both corporate and private, to undertake to make donations at a level with which they are comfortable.
             
His aim is to raise as much as is humanly possible to help in this enormous project. A cow costs 750 pounds, a pig 80; at a more ambitious level, we could stock a farmyard for 2,000 pounds, or help rebuild and equip a small village, including medical help for around 10,000 pounds.
