On 5th October 2008 I will be lining up with approx 50 000 other runners in the BUPA Great North Run, Newcastle.  This is the first time I have ever done anything like this so I'm hoping beginner's luck will see me through to the finish line - and an oxygen mask!

I lived and worked in Orkney for 31 years and I wish to repay the community by donating all funds raised by me to the Kirkwall Station of the RNLI.
