I am running shortly in the 3 City Marathon, climbing the seven peaks, flying off the top of the Gherkin and then bungee jumping from Everest - ah - got you all there!

I have been set a centenary challenge to raise money for the FANY, the great Corps to which I belong, and have decided to take drastic measures and stamp out the butts in the hope that you will all support me, keeping me motivated and, of course, terrified to light one up.

As most of you know, I have been smoking since I was 12 years old and having lost dad one year ago to lung cancer, I have decided that I must give up. I have been off cigarettes since Saturday 27th October 6pm. I need to keep going. I know that a guilt trip will stop me from lighting up.

Please sponsor me and keep me off the cigs. Help me get fit enough to run for a bus without wheezing and I promise to donate a few months ciggie money to the FANY too.   Moral Support is good but so is money.  It has already stopped me from lighting up just thinking of all those people I would need to pay money back to if I lit one up !
