I will be raising money for the Nehemiah Project in the process (see left and http://www.tnp.org.uk/), which is a great opportunity.  The Nehemiah Project is a drug rehabilitation charity, and I was fortunate enough to be able to visit one of their properties recently.  It was extremely encouraging to hear first hand from their current students how their lives are being transformed and their families are being reunited and healed.

*** Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Nehemiah Project will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. ***

Apirl 15th - A Good day for a swim

Apirl 14th - Rest day...

Apirl 13th - 4 mile run around the Thames...Legs almost feeling normal

Apirl 12th - Short 25 min run to try and shake the legs up a bit.

Apirl 9th - Rest day before the Reading Half Marathon tomorrow.

April 7th - 4 mile run

April 4th - 8 mile run

April 3rd - Cautious 4 mile run to ease back into training...

March 25th - April 2nd - Ill again(!).    Probably should have had more rest after the first cold!  Very bad timing...Grrr...

March 25rd - 4 mile run along the Thames...Was going to go for 20 but didn't feel up to it...

Marth 22nd - 16 mile run along the Thames.

March 20th - 8 mile run to Putney to see my groin therapist..

March 15-19th -- Ill.

March 14th - Gentle 8 miler in the gym to try and test out my groin.  Seemed to go okay!  Hopefully get some more running this week...

March 11th -- The first run since the 'groin incident'.  Easy run to Tower Bridge and back.  Only a few twinges, so happy!
March 10th - And again…This time for 1hr 45mins!  Very boring!
March 9th - Went to physio for some groin 'treatment'...Luckily, damage not as bad as it could have been.  Should be up and running again soon.
March 8th - Bike again…
March 7th - On yer bike…Concentrating on cycling in the gym to give groin time to rest!
March 5th - Disaster strikes.  Pulled my, err, groin.()..skiing.  Very annoying!
March 2nd - 12 mile run along the North and South banks.
March 1st - 8 mile run to Putney
Feb 28th - Trip to the swimming pool.  A chance to rest those weary legs.

Feb 25th -- The carbohydrate drinks and gel packs have made their first appearance...Things are getting serious!  17 miles run on Saturday which again is the longest so far!  And I'm glad I had the drinks as the last bit really started to hurt.  I think I might be starting to experience the dreaded 'wall'!  Should be doing a 17-20 mile run on Thursday before my second bit of 'altitude' training this year...Oh yes!

Feb 19th - Longest run so far...Just under 14 miles, and in 1 hour 34...If I can double that I'll be a happy man!

Feb 15th -- Since getting the all clear from the physio things have been going well.  I'm now doing two 8 mile runs a week in the gym, and one long run along the Thames.  So far I've managed 12 miles...Aiming for 14 miles this week!

Feb 14th -- Sadly my hot date with my trainers had to be cancelled due to a work deadline...Hopefully not the first of many disruptions...Fingers crossed...

Feb 3rd - 12th -- Skiing disrupts training slightly, but I did make up by going to the gym once during the week!  Surely that's acceptable!

Jan 21st -- The day after a long run by Battersea Park I discover an 18 foot whale was lurking in the Thames a few metres from me.  Random!

Jan 15th -- Went to see a physio last week, and was advised to cut down the running on concrete (never a bad thing to do).  Now doing lots of cardio work in the gym...bikes, ergs etc.  Calves are feeling much better as a result!

Training began in earnest back in November.  So far I’ve run in London, Devon, Virginia and Texas!  I’ll be adding the Alps to that list before too long…
