Thank you for visiting the ‘Lands End to John O’Groats 2009’ (LEJOG) fundraising page.

We (James, Joe, Pete, Ollie, Mikey, James D and Tom) have decided (maybe stupidly!) to cycle the length of the UK from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG); 1000miles in 10 days!

·

We have chosen to undertake the ‘LEJOG’ challenge to raise money for William's Charity. William's Charity currently raises funds for The Grand Appeal which fundraises for the Bristol Children's Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Michaels. These facilities provide care to sick children from all over the country, and overseas.

·

William's Charity was chosen as it is personal to the LEJOG team. William was Ollie's nephew who was cared for by the staff at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where William and his family spent their happiest times during his short life. The funds raised by William's Charity aim to make a lasting and significant contribution to the NICU in the form of a children's life-support machine.

·

We would love for you to sponsor us and we have created this Just Giving page so that you can make a donation. You can also read more about William and the charity set up in his memory at www.williams-charity.com, and find out more about the challenge, receive updates regarding our progress and our trials and tribulations at http://saddlesore.weebly.com.  All donations are greatly received and we would all like to say a big thank you for anything you donate.

·

Your support can make a difference.

·

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: The Royal Hospital For Children Bristol Appeal Limited will receive your money electronically and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
