The South West Thames Kidney Fund was formed in 1989 in response to the need for support for research. All monies raised by the Fund go directly to support research into the causes of, and preventions for, chronic renal disease at the S W Thames Institute for Renal Research. I have selected this particular charity in appreciation of all the great work carried out by the team at St Hellier Hospital London, who recently helped my nephew David Young recover from a critical kidney disorder.
