Story
On Saturday 12th June 2010, with no care for our own safety, my fearless colleagues and I will be undertaking a perilous adventure to the very extremes of our fine isle.
The Challenge: Climb the highest three peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.
These are, in case you were wondering, Scafell Pike in England, Snowdon in North Wales, and the mighty Ben Nevis in Scotland. Indeed the rugged terrain will not present the only danger... there is also the brutal confinement of an under-ventilated mini-bus to deal with!
Lest the spirit of adventure alone not be enough to motivate me, I have endeavoured to raise some money for a very worthy cause, the Willen Hospice. These fine people help over 600 terminally ill patients and their families every year but still have to raise 75% of their funds through donations and hair-brained sponsored activities like this so any stray pounds you might send winging in this direction would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway, enough talk... time for action - to the mountains!
