Story

Thank you all for giving to Shooting Stars so generously.  I hope to have raised in excess of £4,000 which the Charity will be more than happy to receive!

Regarding my trek to the Himalayas - my group finally arrived at Base Camp Everest on Saturday 5th May at around 1.30pm - 1.45pm (I was the later arrival!) - shattered, but overjoyed at having achieved/survived the journey.  (My only thought at the time was having to get back to our very basic T lodge!)  We had started the day at 6.00am and at that time of the morning the weather had been - 15 degrees C - very cold! However, during the course of the walk the temperature rose to 30 degrees C - therefore extremely tiring!

The whole experience was fanatastic and I highly recommend it an an alternative holiday to sunbathing on the beach!!

Once again - may I thank everyone for their unbelievable generosity!

Best wishes   -    Willo
