The Task: In 1973 a crack commando was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn't commit. This man promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Ashton-under-Lyne underground. Today still wanted by the government, he survives as a soldier of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him, maybe you can hire...........well, me actually (or maybe try 118 118, Yellow Pages or the Tameside Advertiser)

Actually, its not THAT dramatic....however.......I am intending to run 10K in the "Run Preston 2008" event on 28th September 2008. Whilst I am a keen runner I have never run 10K before and I have never been to Preston...........the possibilities of it going pear shaped are endless!  

The "Charidee": I will be running to raise money for the Willow Wood Hospice, in Ashton-under-Lyne. (AKA Tameside & Glossop Hospice Ltd)

The hospice provides palliative care and support to patients during the changing phases of serious illness; including care of terminally ill patients and support for they`re families.

Many people in Tameside (including me) have had personal experience of the invaluable and excellent service that the hospice provides to our loved ones in the local community.
