London to Paris · 13 March 2008

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On Friday 21st March, I will be cycling the 185 miles from London to Paris, to raise money for the Oldham Alzheimer's Society as part of the Mayor of Oldham (i.e my Mum)'s Appeal.

The plan is:
Good Friday: Cycle from London to Newhaven, get the ferry to Dieppe and sleep!
Easter Saturday: Cycle from Dieppe to somewhere south of Rouen
Easter Sunday: Cycle the remaining distance to Paris and celebrate!
Easter Monday: Get the Eurostar back to London

I’m hoping to raise £500 to help improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in Oldham.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
