So its been confirmed since October but I have finally got round to making my JustGiving page for the London Marathon!!!! Which I will be running on the 29th April, in aid of Mind,The UK's mental health charity.

If you know me, you'll know this is something fairly out of character. I don't even enjoy running really. I for one, will just be very pleased to finish it. But I, and Mind, would massively appreciate any donations you could spare in order to support the cause. When Mind offered the With Josh in Mind team a place this April we just couldn't say no to the chance to raise even more funds for their great cause. 

I will not be posting constant updates of my progress (as much as I'm sure you would all love sweaty selfies and mapped routes of my runs) but may occasionally send a begging note for donations via social media!  If you'd like to know more about why I am doing this...keep on reading. 

Just over three years ago we lost Josh Sutherland, a best friend who for so many was a source of joy, lust for life and  keen companionship for any adventure! With his tragic passing came his surrender to the mental health issues for which so many years he bravely battled, managed and overcame.

In the following months, we set up With Josh in Mind. Our main goal was to  create a number of events and occasions for Josh's many friends and family to get together, create a place for people to open up about their grief and their own issues and raise money for Mind, a charity that provides help and support to those with mental health problems. 

In the years following, I have seen the incredible work Mind do as both friends and a family member have benefitted form the services they provide. Well worth running 26.2 miles for!!!

We have so far managed to raise £36,222 and hope this run will take us over the £40,000 milestone
