You all know that James likes a challenge ! Well this year is our 25th wedding anniversary.....no that wasn't the challenge ! But I did say I would like to do something special...maybe I should have kept my mouth shut, afterall he would never have rememebered !!

 

Anyway we found a website called The Adventurists.com and one of their many challenges was to drive to Mongolia "in a car your gran would go shopping in "

So we have a 1.1litre Ford Fiesta, made the year we got married (yes a 25year old car!) to do the 15000 mile round trip !!

There are about 300 entrants in total from all over the world and 2 other cars coming with us,including officially the oldest competitor at 70 !!

There are countless videos on you tube and the trailer for the rally is on The Adventurists website if you want to see what we are facing.

We are trying to focus on the fun aspect, but this is undeniably a huge challenge that deserves huge rewards  and  every pound raised towards our chosen charities will keep us going through what will undoubtedly be some tough times !
