Original Story
Everyone likes a boogie – but could you get on down for ONE THOUSAND HOURS STRAIGHT? That’s exactly what the Kallevik Crew are going to do at the WOMAD Music Festival over 3 days on the 29 – 31 July 2011. Joyce and her motley gang of guys and gals want to raise £1,000 for the women’s mental health charity Wish. Working in prisons, psychiatric hospitals and the community, Wish is a lifeline for one of society’s most vulnerable and forgotten groups of people. This is a great opportunity for YOU to make a difference to hundreds of women - and have a good laugh seeing the Dance-A-Thon video evidence at the same time!
All pledges over £50 buy you a request for specific dance moves!! So if you want to see Joyce, Merle and LIn break-dance; Tanisha and Mia break out the Beyonce bounce; Jo, Rachel, Jen, Ellie and Tess perform to some old-school rave moves; Eva, Imogen and Sarah Moshing; or Helen pirouette like Margot Fonteyn - get GIVING!
Bopping and jiving, bumping and grinding, cha-cha or Cossack, ballet or ballroom…as long as the body keeps moving, it counts as dancing! From the Dance-A-Thon Kallevik Crew : Joyce, Joanne, Helen, Merle, Jen, Tanisha, Lin, Sarah, Imogen, Ellie, Rachel, Mia, Tess, Eva and Paul, James, Ruari, Dara, Marcello, Jonah and Still recruiting!
