 A big Thank You for taking the time to look at our Just Giving Page.  We are both so excited to launch a Women's Development and Skills Training Centre (WDSTC) with family and friends by our side. 

Below will provide you with financial information on vocational training, schooling and medical care if you would like to make a donation.

We would like to keep you updated via email on the positive effect of your generosity and the charities growth through it's early stages.

Over 60% of Nepali women can not read or write.  In tandem with cultural factors, this limits their access to education and training. Woman and especially single mothers, therefore, are faced with a difficult and uncertain future.

 Women's Development and Skills Training Centre WDSTC will comprise of a workshop, a training facility and an educational establishment for the children of mothers who use the centre. The workshop will be equipped with a design facility, teachers and loops enabling women to develop vocational skills in knitting and weaving which will provide them with a means of earning a living wage.

WDSTC goal:

to raise money for the operation of a women’s development and skills training centre (WDSTC) which will be based in Nepal.

to empower women to take control of their lives and provide a sustainable legacy for themselves and their families.

to gain these woman' self confidence that they loose due to unfortunate circumstances in their lives.

WDSTC training facility will provide:

training on knitwear design

training in production techniques

and business development skills, including micro-financing

 

WDSTC educational establishment will provide:

education for school age children with an emphasis on females who generally have less access to education than boys in Nepali society.

WDSTC financial donations:

Development & Skills

$25/month = educate a woman to read & write

$60 = train one woman in knitting skills & designs  

$50 = home knitting start up kit (scissors, thread, fleece, needles, tape measure, etc) 

$500 = home looms

 

Children's Educational Support:

$40  = school books & suppliers

$50 = boarding school student start up fees (sheets, towels, mattress and blanket 

$60 = School uniform (2 shirts and 2 trousers, shoes, tie and jacket) 

$105/month = teachers salary

$640 = annual fees for a day school student

$1,000 = annual fees for a boarding school student

You can even donate a whole (or part) Class Room & have it named in your honour (whole $1,000, half $500, $250)

Finally we hope to better womens & child’s health specifically

Hospital check up $20
