About our charity : Children's Hospice South West Children's Hospice South West
Children's Hospice South West first welcomed families in 1995 to Little Bridge House, North Devon, and opened a second hospice, Charlton Farm near Bristol in April 2007. This instantly doubled its capacity from 200 to 400 families each year. Children's Hospice South West operate the only two children's hospices in the South West; they offer respite, relaxation, friendship and a sense of community. The hospice also shares the 24-hour care of sick children and supports families in bereavement.

Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Women Walking has grown from a group of friends who met during the early days of motherhood.  Sam, Becky, Sharon and Sakina’s brainchild, ‘Music with Mummy’ began an enduring friendship which brought together a group of mothers with their toddlers for weekly music making.   Six or seven years later we still share the same personal trainer who first shook the post baby fat from our limbs and we have graduated from MwM to a bookclub where our literary discussions are almost as important as the general chat about our lives.  Our friendship supports us through life’s changes good and bad and with this in mind we have decided to extend the circle of our friendship and help others who also need support.

Inspired by Anne, we are walking from Bristol to Devizes (26.3 miles) on 5th May to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.  Our walk starts at Bitton Railway Station and we will follow the old railway path through Saltford, Bath, Bradford on Avon and on to Devizes., where a nice country pub and a large glass of red wine awaits our weary limbs.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Hospice South West will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
