The Varsity Blues Rugby team joined forces with Wooden Spoon last year and played for the charity for the first time in Dubai 2007. The team continues to grow and perform with players being sourced from university and club academy teams. The players fund their own costs to play in the events to help raise the profile of the charity as well as raising funds for disadvantaged children. By attending these high profile tournaments the team is generating extensive direct corporate and individual support for the children Spoon helps.  Over the next six months the players will be participating in many fundraising activities including skydives, fun runs and sponsored silences to help reach their fundraising target.
