Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Trooper Daniel Wood, a serving soldier in The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.

On the 10th June I will be taking part in this year’s Cateran Yomp, a 54 mile hike through the Perthshire hills, in order to raise money for the Army Benevolent Fund.

The Yomp (a military term for a long-distance march) is an epic adventure challenge. Teams of 3-6 people take on 54 miles (gold) in 24 hours across the rugged terrain of the Scottish wilderness. There is also a 36.5 (silver) or a 22 (bronze) mile option.

I am aiming to complete all 54 miles of the Yomp with my team on 10-11th June.
