WOMAN&HOME'S WORLD CUP FEAST IN AID OF THE BOBBY MOORE FUND
Thank you for taking the time to visit the woman&home’s World Cup Feast Justgiving page. If you are visiting this page, hopefully you have enjoyed a world cup feast and it has inspired you to make a donation to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
The Bobby Moore Fund was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE in 1993 following the death of her husband, England’s only ever football world cup winning captain, Bobby Moore. Bobby tragically died from bowel cancer aged only 51. Since then, the charity set up in his memory has raised £14 million for cutting edge bowel cancer research and to raise public awareness of the disease. This year, with Bobby’s legacy stonger than ever thanks to the South Africa 2010 World Cup, woman&home magazine is delighted to be working in partnership with the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money through the World Cup Feast fundraising initiative. Despite the progress made since 1993, 44 men and women are still dying each day from bowel cancer in the UK. But with the support of woman&home readers and their friends and family, we are hoping to raise a significant amount of money, all of which will go towards helping the fund to achieve it’s two main aims, so that eventually, no one will have to fear the words “bowel cancer”. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Bobby Moore Fund and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Thank you so much for your generous support. Your donation really will make a difference to the lives of bowel cancer patients and their families. Finally, if you have enjoyed being a guest at a world cup feast, why not return the favour and hold your own?
