Update 18th April 2005
-----------------------
I'VE DONE IT!

It took me 4 hours and 9 minutes to cross the finishing line but I got there. I thought that after the loss of my mam on the 14th March (thanks Macmillan for the care) followed by a three week back injury which meant no training for the 5 weeks before the marathon that I wouldn't even make the start line never mind the finish. I have to give a big thanks to my running partner Richard who gave up the chance to record a really great finish time. After 21/22 miles he kept on whipping up the crowd for me and dragged me on to the finish.

If you haven't yet sponsored me and would still like to you still can, just click the link.

For those who have sponsored me already (on-line and off-line) a big thanks once again from me and Macmillan
---------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On the 10th April 2005 (the week before the 2005 London Marathon) I will reach the once unthinkable personal milestone of 40 years of age. Since I started running I'd always sworn never to tackle a marathon but this year seemed different somehow...... I've chosen to use the London Marathon 2005 as a way to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief in an attempt to repay this great charity who help so many people when they greatly need help. So please, help me help them help them :-)by digging deep and sponsoring me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Relief will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Anthony (Wor Tony)
