Story
I am doing this for all the children out there but especially for one extraordinary brave little boy who is very special to me, Theo Smallbone.
When one of you closest friends tells you that her son who you view like one of your own tells you that he has been rushed into hospital with a brain tumour, it hits you like a tonne of bricks. I can not imagine how Shirleen and Craig must have felt.
Theo was diagnosed with a Pilocytic Astrocytoma in 2013 aged 2. He endured Neuro surgery followed by 18 months of chemotherapy to stabilise the growth. How Shirleen and her family have coped over the last three years is truly inspiring. Currently Theo is doing great and is enjoying his first year at school, however he will be continued to be monitored as its likely the tumour may grow again.
