Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. First event Bid for a Butler On Monday 28 November Wycliffe’s chapel held a charity auction, ‘Bid for a Butler’ in aid of Cancer Research UK. Organised by two dedicated staff members – Miss Gomez and Mr Lunch – the event was enjoyed by the whole school and was extremely successful, raising over £400, with a staff member being auctioned off for more than £70 to a competitive pupil. The lucky few bidders who helped the charity by splashing their cash at the event will get the chance to be waited on hand-and-foot for the day on Friday 2 December by their Butlers, who include Mrs Burnett-Ward, Mr Buckley, and pupils Alex Cawthorne and Gwilym Wyn-Jones. Mr Lunch and Miss Gomez decided on raising money for Cancer Research as both have been closely affected by the illness which destroys so many peoples’ lives. They have high hopes for their charity work and are fundraising to eventually take part in a frightening but exciting sky-dive to raise money for Cancer Research. Further fundraising events are to follow throughout the year, such as an upcoming cake sale, raffles and sports events for all, where they hope to raise even more money to reach their goal.
