On 4th November 2007 I will be running the New York marathon. 26.2 miles is a long way but it's something I've wanted to do for a few years now.  I have chosen to support the West Riding of Yorkshire Ileostomy Association as this charity has helped one of my close friends who has an ileostomy due to Crohn’s Disease. She is also the chair of the West Riding of Yorkshire IA group so all my sponsorship money will go into supporting the local charity who provide support and services to those who are going through a life changing time.

The IA is not one of the 'sexy' charities but that's why it's all the more important for people to cough up and sponsor me. Hopefully I can help raise the profile of the local group so that more people can make use of their services. I have fully paid for all the travel, accommodation and race entry costs so you can be assured that 100% of the sponsorship money will go to the charity. 

All sponsorship will go to the West Riding of Yorkshire branch of the IA.
