Story
In a bid to keep on pushing the boundaries and further test my physical and mental strength, I have decided to combine two of the toughest races in the world and do them back-to-back.
In February 2009, I will run 1100 miles towards the Arctic Circle as I battle my way through temperatures of -40, total whiteouts, 100 mph winds and blizzards.
I will have just 25 days to finish this part of my adventure as I will then head straight for Morocco to run the grueling week long 230 km Marathon de Sables across the Saharan desert.
Facing the two harshest climates on the planet, I am attempting to become the first person to ever compete this two events back-to-back.
All the money I raise will be go to MENCAP.
If you would like to get involved in my Xtreme 40 challenge on a more personal level or feel you can help my campaign, please get in touch via my website www.juliancrabtree.com and we can discuss press and sponsorship opportunities.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
