Yorkshire to Morocco · 17 June 2017

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I am running from the highest point in Yorkshire (Whernside 794m) to the highest point in North Africa (Morocco) Jbel Toubkal (4167m).

With an overall distance of around 2000 miles I will run from Yorkshire to Portsmouth, England; Caen to the French Pyrenees, crossing into Spain and running across Spain to Algeciras on the south coast near Gibraltar. I will cross to Tangier, Morocco and run south through the Rif Mountains, the Middle Atlas to the High Atlas where I will finish my run on the summit of Jbel Toubkal.

I will not have a support team with me, will allow for periods of self sufficiency and resupply en route.
