Story

This July, a team of six students from the south west will leave the UK and attempt to drive 10,000 miles to the capital of Mongolia; Ulaanbaatar. An immense undertaking, approximately half the teams that participate in the Mongol Rally never make it to Mongolia, their vehicles giving up the ghost at some point on the journey. This year, Team Yak To The Future will attempt to take not just one car all the way to Mongolia, but three.

On arrival, our vehicles, three Suzuki Swifts, will be donated to Mongolian families. We have also already raised £3000 for Mercy Corps, a charity funding other projects in the country. Having achieved this target, we are now attempting to raise money for other charities. All donations made on this page will go to the Gurkha Welfare Trust, for whom we hope to raise £1000. You can still make a donation to Mercy Corps on our other page - just visit http://www.justgiving.com/yaktothefuturethetrilogy.

Please take some time to visit our team website - http://www.yaktothefuture.co.uk/ - where you will find details of our team members, vehicles and other useful information, including a link to Mercy Corps' homepage.
