Sadly cancer touches so many of our lives and most of us have suffered a loss from this terrible disease. Jon lost his father a few years ago and Olly's father in-law died last October, both from bowel cancer. This is what inspired us to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.

We all live in Yardley Hastings and enjoy running. For those of you who know Anthony, you will be aware this is his first marathon and although he might not be enjoying it, he is really committed to his training. The rest of the group have a wide range of experience at running marathons and look forward to the challenge of setting a new personal best or simply finishing the course!

The fundraising was started just before Christmas with some carol singing around the village with the children and we raised £100. We are planning a wild west night in march and we have this page, which makes supporting us really easy.

We may worry about many forms of cancer and there are so many deserving charities to support. Were you aware that bowl cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK, and that it affects men and women equally? We have all been credit crunched and we need to tighten our belts but we hope you can see the good in supporting us and this charity. We want to help improve peoples lives and improve the chance of survival.
