Next April we will be running the London Marathon for Blue Cross - not the Debenham’s sale! - the animal rescue charity.

 

Blue Cross have rescue centre all over the UK, they treat, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted animals. We have both spent a day volunteering at their Bromsgrove centre and Tiverton centre where we saw firsthand the great work the centers do. They are constantly meeting animals physical and mental needs, as well as training and managing unwanted behaviors to ensure animals have the best chance of finding a long term, loving home.

 

The charity provides veterinary care to all animals brought into their centers, and heavily subsidies veterinary care to families on low incomes and benefits to ensure their pets can access treatment as when it is required. Blue Cross will pay at least 50% of the vet fees for any animal re-homed with a lifelong condition. We hope to raise £3000, this will cover the veterinary fees for one rescue centre for one month which means this money can be used elsewhere to enrich the lives of unadopted animals.
