Disability Snowsport UK’s vision is of mountains and ski slopes free from barriers. It's our mission to make snowsport accessible for everyone; regardless of disability, injury or experience.

Story

Who - Paul Spencer, a 29 year old British Endurance athlete currently residing in Whistler, Canada.

What - Will attempt to break the current Guinness World Record for the "Fastest Cycle across America; North-South, West-East" by cycling over 4,700 miles through 14 states. 

Where - The north-south leg will see him start in Blaine, Washington and cycle down to the Mexican-US border in California before traveling the short drive to Los Angeles and setting off from there for the West-East leg cycling cross-country to New York.

When - The attempt will start on the 8th July 2010 and Paul expects to complete the ~ 4,700 mile journey in under 50 days

Why - Paul has always been an avid sportsman and is able to push himself more than anyone I know. Paul has picked 3 charities which each have a personal meaning for him in which he hopes to raise as much money as possible for. Finally, Paul has always been interested in the and hopes to promote cycling as an alternative means of transportation.
