Tractor Run · 9 April 2010

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Camelford Young Farmers in North Cornwall have planned a Tractor Run on the 9th, 10th and 11th April 2010 from John O'Groats to Lands End. The run will cover approximately 900 miles, which we aim to complete over 3 days!

Claas UK have sponsored us by allowing us the use of a brand new Claas tractor.

Over the 3 days, members from the club will drive the tractor. Participating members are collecting sponsorship from family and friends and we are already receiving donations from local companies as well.

We have gained publicity with articles in the Farmers Weekly, local newspapers and  farming newsletters.

The club have have decided that the run will be in aid of Cancer Research UK. We have chosen this charity as many of the members, including myself have been affected by cancer in some way.
