Welcome to our YFC online giving page, where at the moment we are focusing on the Swiss Bike Ride 2012 - a fund-raising and prayerful ride around this beautiful country, 2-10 June.
There are seven riders in total: Arek Karagoezian from Lebanon; Art Melli from USA and Germany; David Brown from Northern Ireland; David Porter from Northern Ireland and France; Emily Hadduck from USA; John Duncan from Northern Ireland; Paul Luedtke from USA and Switzerland.
In addition we have two SAG-wagon drivers (Support & Gear): Becky Luedtke, wife of Paul, and Lindy-Ann Masri from Lebanon. We aim to ride about 800kms/500 miles in 7 days, starting and finishing in Geneva. We need prayer!
This Area of Youth For Christ (Europe, the Middle-East and N. Africa) is made up of about 30 active national programmes. There are around 700 staff and around 13,000 volunteers, and we have been working somewhere in Europe since the mid-1940s. Our key passions are evangelism amongst teenagers, and discipleship of those who respond, and we use about 40 different ministry models in this Area.
This Ride aims to raise some much-needed funds to support various aspects of the work. Feel free to support any of us for 1 unit per mile, 2, 5 or whatever your imagination and pocket will allow! We will appreciate it all.
