Hello and thanks for visiting our page.
We are a group of Youth based in Lancashire who have been touched by what has happened in Pakistan and are looking to:
FLY OVER AND MAKE A REAL LIFE DOCUMENTARY ON HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL REACH AND HELP THE NEEDY.
'FOUR OF US YOUNGSTERS WILL BE GOING' to 'DELIVER YOUR DONATIONS ON THE GROUND, IN FLOOD RAVAGED PAKISTAN'. We will be delivering food; both cooked and family food parcels as well as supplying medicines, winterised tents and clean water.
YOUTH ON A MISSION project will be run under the umbrella of Muslim Hands, a trusted charity who we have happened to strike a deal with due to their previous 17 years commendable track record.
If you donate through YOUTH ON A MISSION, we will PERSONALLY GURANTEE 100% of your donations will be sent directly to the people affected by the floods, PLUS for tax payers a further 21% will be added to the final amount of your donation as gift aid, this has only been made possible through the courtesy of Muslim Hands.
Gift Aid is usually in place for running expenses and costs of a charity, however Muslim hands has been kind to allow the Gift Aid to be used in our cause.
Please note; Gift Aid is usually 28% however, following small deductions from justgiving.com we are left with slightly above 21%.
We are aiming to take at least £20,000 with us in order to make the most of our trip; however we have trust in all mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers out there to help us reach this target!!!
Please note that we will be making all this possible by taking time out from work, studies and general socialising time in-order to raise funds and, all work is on a voluntary basis with all expenses paid from OUR OWN POCKETS.
Over the last few weeks with the Pakistani floods being plastered across the British Medias front pages, we as a group of over 10 friends have decided it is a must for us to offer as much help and support as possible.
After looking into the statistics and images portrayed by the BBC it began to hit reality hard into our lives. To only view and reflect on the less fortunate was now not enough.
A friend started to describe how guilt of the images which he had seen of the flood victims started to play on his mind throughout the day.
He began to describe how he saw the video clips of the flood victims on youtube.com during the early hours of the morning. He described the devastation which had hit hard into the lives of young innocent little children, the pictures he saw of 2-3 year olds sleeping on a bed which was in the middle of the floods. A video clip of between 50-60 people boarding an open deck truck trying to flee to safe land however, they never make it as the floods toppled the truck over and killed everyone of them.
He described how he couldn’t sleep without feeling the guilt of the children who were sleeping in the middle of destruction. How the guilt replaced the hunger in his stomach during breakfast, how the family time made him stay quiet and not able to participate.
With over 17 Million affected and a 6 million left homeless, we can clearly see that this disaster is one of the worst disasters to have ever been recorded. The scale of Pakistan's floods is worse than the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Pakistan earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake combined.
These are the reasons which made us get together and make the decision to actually raise funds for the people affected, and to help and aid them by the name of YOUTH ON A MISSION.
At this moment in time the victims urgently need medical Help, tents and foods. If you know any Pharmacists who may be willing to donate medicine please contact us. Also, if anybody has any spare tents please donate them to us. Pakistani International Airways has kindly allowed us free cargo for such goods.
If there are any doctors, firemen or any person who is willing to go with us to help these people who have become VICTIMS of such horrendous and unlucky natural tragedy then please contact us as a matter of urgency.
We will be making a documentary of our mission to save lives in Pakistan, cameras will be attached to our body in-order to try and get the first hand experience for you. We will distribute these images/videos when we are back. If any business is willing to make significant contributions to this cause, we will be willing to come to YOU and take your donation and include this as a part of our documentary.
It’s time we got together and united for the sake of humanity and cared for one another on the basis of supporting the less fortunate from amongst us and raise these funds whilst contemplating on the words human race, and remembering this relation, a relation we all tie up into without choice.
Ø  JUST IMAGINE YOU WERE IN THEM PICTURES PICTURED ABOVE!!!
Ø  JUST IMAGINE OUR CHILDREN WERE LEFT BEHIND AS OPHANS!!
Ø  JUST IMAGINE YOUR HOUSE WAS WASHED AWAY!!
Ø  JUST IMAGINE IT WAS YOUR 2 YEAR OLD SON OR DAUGHTER CRYYING OUT FOR HELP!!
WHO WOULD YOU RELY ON IF THIS WAS THE CASE???
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!! DONATE!!!
