I am the International Office Administrator at the University of Greenwich and I will be running the Asics British 10k London Run for the university’s Alumni Fund. I am an ex-student - I completed my degree in History in 2008 - so it’s good to run for the Alumni Fund raising money to support students who are struggling in some way. The Alumni Fund supports students with a disability or dyslexia by providing equipment and resources, helps those who are in extreme financial emergencies and provides library resources.

 

I am hoping to get out for a run every morning before going to work as part of my training. My first run was torture! But I want to finish and finish well. I’m going to do my best to get a good place in the run – I’m aiming for under 58 minutes. And I want to show the Alumni Fund is a worthy cause to support.

I am looking forward to the run because it is such a big event and looks really exciting. I am also looking forward to taking part with so many people who are running for different charities.
