Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October I shall, with my husband Malcolm, be visiting our son, Chris, and daughter in law, Tracy who live in Singapore. We all like a bit of a challenge so we decided to climb Mount Kinabalu (Borneo) at 13,435 ft the highest climber-friendly mountain in South East Asia.
The climb, on Friday the 16 Oct.2009, is done in two stages.
Stage 1 to Laban Rata -The altitude makes it harder to breathe, so I will need to acclimatise overnight.
Stage 2 to the summit - Begins at about 3.00am to head up to Low's Peak for the sunrise.
I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise money for one of my favourite charities, the NSPCC.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the NSPCC and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the NSPCC.
So please, if you can, dig deep and help me raise money to help children who need our help.
When I get home I will post a picture or video of me on the summit of KINABALU so you will know I made it.
Thanks so much for your donations, every penny counts.
