Story
WE DID IT!! The ride was completed on the 17th August after 1155 miles!!
My friend Helen Gosnell suggested the idea of cycling to Lands End to John O'Groats - seemed like a good idea at the time so I agreed to join her. Then I started to look at the maps and realised just how far it would be: the only cycling I usually do is 15 minutes to and from work so this is going to be a real tester.
I decided to pick the Children's Hospice South West as my charity as they provide such wonderful support for sick/terminally ill children and their families: I have really fond memories of growing up on a farm in Devon and thought it would be great to give something back to children whose childhoods are dominated by illness.
If you want to see how our ride is progressing, you can have a look at our blog at

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children's Hospice South West will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
