The Simon Community exists to support and campaign for homeless and rootless people in London, particularly those for whom no other provision exists.  The community consists of volunteers and people who have themselves been homeless prior to becoming part of the community, working together to reach out to and maintain contact with people sleeping rough on the streets.  The community is independent of any government funding.

I  took a year out before going to university to be a full-time volunteer with The Simon Community.  At the age of 18 it was a bit of an eye-opener.  My time with the community was a valuable addition to my education and an important episode in my life.

By not sending traditional invitations in the post we have saved a chunk of money, which we are splitting between our two chosen charities.
