Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I first met Olly around 4 years ago, he was on my son's rugby team 'Westoe Dragon's. Olly was a super fit fantastic player and a lovely lad with an awesome six pack!! We were all hugely shocked when he was diagnosed with a type of brain cancer in 2017 and it really upset us all so when we are asked to join 'Team Olly then obviously we said yes. Olly wants 100 people to run for him for the following season.....
At present there is a massive contrast between my age group and the modern teenage unit.
I want us to have a voice !! The money raised is to be used to improve life for kids 9-13 years old in the RVI Children’s Cancer wards and within Radiotherapy at the Freeman.
We can then improve services for us like better food, comfortable beds for our parents, a chill out room, less dinosaurs and monkeys on walls,a better kitchen and internet and TV that actually works !!!!
I met with some of the top people from the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI yesterday with Mum and Dad. They really listened to my ideas and want my input to engage the opinions of my fellow patient
We are raising money for the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Charity (reg.no 1057213) and two of its charitable funds, the Great North Childrens Hospital Foundation, ward 4/14 based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Charlie Bear for Cancer Care which supports the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at Freeman Hospital.
Thank-you
