ShelterBox work to ensure that vulnerable families around the world have life-saving emergency shelter, and other essential tools and aid items, after disaster strikes. Be it an earthquake, flood, conflict or hurricane, we are there for those most in need.

Story

Yes it's that time of year again when I run the plymouth half. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of Shelter Box who are a Cornish company who provide international emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are effected by disasters. Typically the people who Shelterbox support have lost everything they own. Can you imagine what that may feel like when you have children and other family members depending on you?

In the 12 years since Shelterbox was founded, they have responded to over 200 natural or manmade disasters in almost 90 different countries and provided lifesaving aid for over one million people.

The green shelterbox dispatched is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, groundsheets, water storage and filtration equipment, cooking utensils, a basic tool kit, a childrens activity pack and other vital items.

So please dig deep and donate to a great cause. Thank you.
