Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon at least once in my life, and with my father being diagnosed with prostate cancer in February 2008, I decided the time was right to fulfill my ambition and to try and make a difference to a cause which now means a lot to my family and I. My father had an operation to have his prostate removed in October 2008 and decided to opt for a robotic-assisted procedure which is much safer than the traditional method of operating. However, though this procedure is widely used in the USA and Europe, it is fairly new in the UK and not widely available yet (he had to go to a specialist in Cambridge to have it done). Therefore, it is my wish to run the 26.2 miles across London for The Prostate Cancer Charity, hoping that the money I raise would contribute to improving the availability of this procedure, as well as fund further research and development in treating prostate cancer.
I am determined to raise a minimum of £2,000, so I would greatly appreciate your generous donations!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
By running the London Marathon, I have embarked on a huge journey in which I will be pushing my body to its absolute limits. I plan on doing this perhaps only once in my life so I am putting all my efforts into it. This will be very hard work for me but I am determined to achieve what I set out to do, inspired by my never-ending love for my father.
I sincerely hope you can help me achieve my target and I will be eternally grateful for your contribution to help me fight prostate cancer.
A big thank you from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. I am currently appearing in 'JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT' at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End. If you are going to see the show and have donated on this page, please go to Stage Door after the performance and tell them you are here to see me, I will gladly come and meet you to thank you personally.
