Story

CHALLENGE COMPLETED!!!

After successfully completing my first marathon in May 2008, I have now decided to take on the huge challenge of running a DOUBLE MARATHON in aid of charity.

I have taken on this challenge to raise valuable money for SenseSense is a leading national charity that supports children and adults who are both deaf and blind, by providing specialist advice and services. It is hard to imagine completing even the simplest of tasks without two of your primary senses. Yet, there are 27,000 deafblind people in the UK alone.

My Challenge:  I will be running a double marathon... that is a total of 52 miles/84kms!! It is a Mara-marathoooooon.  When:

London Marathon - 26th April 2009 in a Bumble Bee costume!

Results: Completed in 3hr 52min 41sec (placing 8,414 out of 35,206)

Edinburgh Marathon - 31st May 2009

Results: Completed in 3hr 47min 31sec (placing 1,699 out of 8,257)
